We celebrated our anniversary (13 years) last night with the girls at a Japanese Steak house. First time we’ve been there and it was kind of fun. The girls loved the food, but then they have always loved steak and shrimp. Delaney loves to talk about the wedding and since the girls left for grandma’s this morning for a week, we really wanted to spend the night with them, even though some friends offered to have them Celebrations are always a treat with the girls and especially Delaney as she wanted to talk a LOT about the day, 13 years ago. She said she wished SHE had been there because she certainly would have enjoyed it.
She hates to miss anything and I think it’s funny that she feels she should have been there and almost a little bit slighted because she wasn’t. Each year she asks the same questions again and wants to hear us talk about all the details, even though she’s heard it several times. But this year for the first time she had a new question
Mom, when and where did Dad propose to you? long pause….and that look that is all here…. Did you see it coming?
She has this amazing zest for life that you can’t help but fall in love with.
With the girls at Grandma’s, my TO DO list is long which includes a huge amount of design work for new collections I’m working on due before I leave for the CHA Show on Tuesday. I better get back to that.
