Thanks for all the comments on the new collection. I enjoy reading what appeals to you.
We’re heading over to the show a little later after getting a few last minute things ready for my class I’m teaching today. It’s the Photo Journal I showed the other day, which I promise to share more of when I get back home. I’ve gotten several requests for a class kit by mail, so if you are interested in that kit, leave a comment about that and I’ll have more details on that to come.

I wanted to share with you the Creative Cafe book we made at the CHA Retailer party. It’s little and cute and the best part about it is how simple and effective it is for documenting your life with such ease. I was able to include a year worth of photos January through December of last year, random favorite photos of McKinley all in this book. What I loved even more about this is this literally took me minutes to fill. So in less than 30 minutes, I had put this book together, printed and filled a book all about McKinley from 2009 with over 100 photos. She LOVED the book and I had to beg to get it back. I love the little size of it.
You know after scrapbooking for so many years, I find myself constantly changing in what matters to me. Really, for me, it’s all about the photos and the stories they tell and being able to enjoy them ALL. Not just one event in the middle of the year, but the span of time. So you will probably notice that most of what I take time to do HAS to be worth the effort of including lots of photos. AND by doing that, then I find that I feel so satisfied and happy that all those collected supplies don’t leave me with a feeling of guilt of what I haven’t done or still want to do. So this little book I find fits that so well. I will be making this again. Because I did this one so fast, I plan yet to go back and add some handwritten details alongside the photos.
The papers in the book are the new Creative Cafe foil papers, months papers cut with our brand new CCafe dies we designed for AccuCut. You can see more about those new dies on the Creative Cafe blog.

If you like it, leave a comment. I’d love to hear about where you are in scrapbooking right now. (Don’t tell, but I snuck one of these from my make/take and I’ll mail it to you when I get home and you can an entire year of photos in one book within minutes too.)
I love the foil..I love your concept of keeping it simple and just adding photos and hand journaling. I would love to make a mini that quick!
I love it. I can’t believe you were able to fit 100 photos in it!
I love it. Right now I’m no where in scrapbooking - just organizing my stash. It would be great to knock out 100 pictures so easily.
Danelle, I love this book! It is so cute and practical for lots of pictures! Creative Cafe has been a hit with me ever since it came out and I could go to my LSS to purchase the items.
I recently bought a 12 x 12 album that will have a combination of 12 x 12 layouts and also has page protectors that hold 6 - 4×6 photos. I have an amazing Alaskan cruise with tons of pictures and I want to be able to have more pictures instead of a lot of “fluff and frill”.
I love your book! What a quick way to get your life documented!
I am currently trying to scrap regularly and also create projects to teach at local scrapbook stores just for fun! We ordered the new dies and are really excited to use them in classes!
wow! so many photos in there! that’s amazing! right now, i haven’t been scrapping much except for mini-albums.
I love these books! So cute and easy to use! I am just now getting back into scrapbooking and looking forward to finishing projects that have been put aside for a while.
love the mini album and love the concept of so many photos so quickly scrapped….. my scrapbooking has suffered a lot lately. I keep doing little projects for friends and family…. but this year is about getting caught up.
CHA must be a blast!
so awesome!! can’t wait for it all to come out!
I confess that I love the fact that you were able to put so many pictures in the book. I struggle to eliminate pictures. I like that you represented the year! Also, I love the new papers! Great Book!!!
I know what you mean about changing what matters. I did Project 365 last year and was overwhelmed with the amount of photos but at the same time loved the little details that I took pictures of. My take away from that is I want to do more little details and get those into my books. Not just the big event or the “moments” layouts, but the daily ordinary details that I might soon forget.
I love all the photos you got int there! What a great book! I would love to win one! And I am hoping that my LSS owner is there ordering those new papers!
I really like the concept of mostly photos with journaling and not a ‘designed’ page. These new papers with the months really fit into my style.
that is awesome danelle! I love it!
I have decided this is they year that I am going
to do just mostly mini books, that are in the older
creative cafe minis’ . I love those! I am going to
do a years worth of pix in one book for each girl.
I also need to buy some 12×12 albums for all the layouts
that I have sitting in bins! that’s why I don’t want to scrap any
more bigger sized layouts, because I never have the money
to get out and buy the albums! so this year is all about organizing
and doing the mini books with tons of pix! just like this! LOVE IT!

I love it! I am just in the middle of it all!!!!
Danelle - I love this. I have always loved mini books. I am trying to get caught up on the last couple of years photos. Gotta be ready for the new grandbaby in August!!
Adorable, fun, funky, I love it!
In my scraping world, I am not finding a whole lot of time to play. This looks like it would be a perfect album for me to actually complete a whole one in just a few days. Than kyou for your inspiration!
Very cute idea, Danelle. I’ve been doing mostly mini-books lately. Haven’t done a 12×12 page in several years! I like the small size, one complete topic, and getting something finished!
I love this cute mini album you made. It is simply uncomplicated and yet attractive enough that for sure my 8 yr old daughter would love to carry it with her all the time. Definitely, it is something that I can finish:-)
Thank you for sharing.
Love this album. My favorite thing about your stuff is the ability to include lots of pictures, lots of fun design with simplicity. I want to capture more daily life, funny kid sayings/mannerisms and not just the big holidays/trips.
I’m very interested in a class kit by mail. I luv your work and this album is really nice.
Hi Danelle - I purchased a photo journal kit from you after the scrap etc event a couple of years ago, and I would love an updated version as well!!!
